Mary Lippitt, DBA, is an award winning author and an internationally recognized expert in the areas of implementing change, leadership, team development, and executive development. She is recognized as a pioneer in linking leadership development to organizational and individual results. Working with technology firms, industry, financial services, and government, she helps clients strengthen their long- and short-term results, redesign organizational systems to enhance customer focus, manage complex change, and install new structures for team learning and effectiveness.

Her book, The Leadership Spectrum: 6 Business Priorities That Get Results, won the Bronze Award as the Best Business Book in 2002. It also received endorsements from Jim Kouzes, Jack Zenger, Warren Schmidt, Bob Pike, and Jay Conger, among other leadership experts. The book on her instrument The Leadership Spectrum Profile®, which won the Human Resource Executive magazine’s Top Training Product award.

Dr. Lippitt has conducted research on leadership, credibility, trust, and organizational systems. Her work was featured in The Drucker Foundation's journal, Leader to Leader, Executive Excellence, Journal of Business Strategy, Industry Week, Manchester Guardian, Internal Communicator (UK), OD Practitioner, Training and Development, and the popular press. She wrote cases for The Transfer of Training (Addison Wesley), The Learning Organization (ASTD), and Transferring Learning (ASTD).

Dr. Lippitt also won awards from the National Association of Counties and the American Society for Training and Development. She has taught "Change Leadership" at Georgetown University and "Building Trust Through Leadership" at George Washington University. She has a doctorate in business administration. Her dissertation was on Executive Reward Systems.
