Consulting Skills

Consulting Skills is a practical workshop designed to help either line or staff consultants share their expertise and knowledge in a manner that will be useful and used. Participants will practice using a six step process to enhance their consulting skills. These steps are: entry, contracting, problem/opportunity diagnosis, goal setting and planning, implementation, and completion/measurement.

During the program, participants will:
  • Examine how to create a consulting partnership
  • Develop an understanding of how the organization life cycle impacts decision making
  • Understand how to set expectations, roles, and goals
  • Examine implementation strategies
  • Evaluate consulting success factors
